Birla Institute of technology International Centre (BITIC), Bahrain, is the first International Centre Of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India, - a premier Indian University for technical and management education, established in collaboration with M/s Mohammed Jalal and Sons W.L.L, as a private educational institution under the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain.
BITIC offers a 4-year engineering degree programmes (B.E), with first two years of studies at BITIC, Bahrain, and the last two years of studies in India. In addition to these programmes the university also offers 2-years Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and 3-year Bachelor’s degree programmes in Business Administration (BBA) and Commerce (B. Com. - E.Commerce), and 3- year Diploma in Technology (D.Tech) programmes.
This International centre at Bahrain offers the academic strengths of the parent University, with experienced faculty, modern laboratories and Workshops having state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, a well-stacked library, computer laboratories and other facilities essential for the development of professionals of the highest competence.
History
Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Ranchi , India , was founded by the Philanthropist -Industrialist Mr. B. M. Birla in 1955 as a pioneering institution of Technical Education, Training and Research. It attained the status of a deemed University as a result of its achievements both in respect of research and excellent standards of academic programs. BIT is one of the few universities in India to have the super computing facilities. Over the past few decades, BIT has emerged as a premier Indian technical university recognized internationally for its academic excellence, research, entrepreneur development and ranks amongst the top technical universities in India . The university attracts students from all over the country and abroad. The university is a full member of the Association of the Commonwealth Universities and its degrees are recognised world over.
